CONFIRMATION OF A REFERENCE TRADE SHOW FOR THE AGROFOOD
The 5th edition of DJAZAGRO trade show was held from 16th to 19th April 2007 in the Central pavilion of the Safex Exhibition Park in Algiers.
With the events that hardly touched Algiers at the eve of the show opening in background, DJAZAGRO 2007 took place on the total area of the Central Pavilion of the Safex Exhibition Park.
Very few cancellations from exhibitors have been then registered.
The show met once more time to the expectations of its exhibitors and its strictly professional visitors.
On 10,000 m² of exhibition area, DJAZAGRO 2007 gathered 300 exhibitors from 16 countries. 240 manufacturers were coming out of Algeria and 60 manufacturers from Algeria and were spread over
2 main sectors :
- 1 devoted to the bakery, pastry, restaurants and hotels industries, and
- 1 devoted to the industries for the agrofood and bottling.
Regarding the attendance that is strictly professional, DJAZAGRO 2007 welcomed in direct a total of 8,719 visitors i.e. a progression of 2.7 % in comparison with 2006.
- 4,372 visitors were coming from Algiers and its surroundings (+ 13.3 % /2006),
- 3,873 visitors from the Algerian provinces (- 9 % /2006),
- 346 visitors from abroad (- 8.5 % /2006) and
the others were coming from a complementary event that was organised for the first time and simultaneously with Djazagro by Comexpo-Paris also, the “FORUM LABO”exhibition.
The interactivity between these 2 trade events fully worked.
Despite the decrease in the visits of professionals from the Algerian provinces as well as from abroad due to the current events that disturbed Algiers,
DJAZAGRO 2007 trade show closed its doors within a positive and dynamic business atmosphere (sales of materials, contracts finalisations, willingness of the visitors to invest in the agrofood field, numerous presentations of machines in operation on the stands, high attendance on the show animations zones).
This 2007’ edition attests one more time that DJAZAGRO trade show is more and more expected by the Algerian professionals and becomes the major reference key-event on this market.
DJAZAGRO, in constant evolution, will still improve its services in order to meet the demands of its exhibitors and its trade visitors on
its next Edition in 2008,
