To give a brief history of Jogmai Tea Industry Jogmai Tea Industry, situated at an altitude of over 7000 feet is located in a remote hill in the Eastern Himalayan District of Illam in Nepal bordering Darjeeling. Nestled in the lap of the mighty Himalayas, Jogmai Tea is one of the highest altitude Tea growing areas in the world. This new Estate utilizes the advantage of location and weather to produce Organic hand-rolled Teas to support the poor rural communities of Meghma. The rural communities have joined hands to produce a rare treat for the discerning tea lover. The light and smooth liquor has a track of distinct honeysuckle flavour. Due to its extremely remote location, there are no roads or electricity connecting Meghma to the outside world and therefore, we manufacture all our Teas through traditional process by hand and there is no use of single machine in production process. Due to this reason and keeping in mind that quality if more important than quantity, the total volume of tea that is manufactured per day is just about 30 kgs.
